Regulatory Framework

All courses align with 30 TAC Chapter 285.

01

Hours are contact hours

TCEQ counts CE in contact hours, not days. A 16-hour course is 16 contact hours of instruction — not "two days." This is the unit your renewal will be checked against.

02

Prerequisites listed per course

Most courses require an active TCEQ license (MP, Installer I/II, or DR). The course page lists the license categories the curriculum maps to.

03

Certificate of completion

A completion certificate is issued for every course finished. TCEQ certifies the operator on renewal; the training provider delivers the curriculum.

Eligibility

Who these courses are for.

Continuing education is intended for already-licensed TCEQ OSSF operators renewing their credential. If you are not yet licensed, contact us to discuss which initial-licensing pathway fits your situation — we'll point you toward TCEQ's licensing pages.
